Rancho Luna Lobos Policies & Waivers

****By checking the terms box in your reservation, you are agreeing to all policies and waivers and it will act as your signature for you and all participants in your group agreeing to ALL Terms and Conditions/Policies/and Waivers . ****

  • We will tour with or without snow. If there is not enough snow, we automatically change from the sled to our safari option (price does not change December through February). Our sleds need at least 6-10 PACKED down inches for our brakes to work. If we do not have enough, or the trail is too sloppy, we use the safer option for our dogs and guests, our safari version. Transition between sleds and safari ride is subject to change without notice. Guests are responsible to cancel at least 8 prior if they do not want to go without snow, at 7 days we do not offer a refund for any changes in weather, or ride options. We have a 7 day cancellation rule. If you cancel within 7 days of your tour, we will still charge for your reservation. If you want to cancel for a full refund, it must be done before the 7 day window regardless of customer circumstances. By making a reservation with Rancho Luna Lobos, you understand that the DEPOSIT WILL BE NONREFUNDABLE regardless of cancellation by guest or by Rancho Luna Lobos. ALL SALES ARE FINAL, which is why you understand the company asks you not to pay the full balance until the day of the tour. You also understand that if you cancel your tour before the cancelation policy period, you will not get your deposit back.

  • Please be aware, Check-In/Out times 8-10 AM and 5-7 PM. Morning check-Out charge ends with previous night. Evening pick up adds that current day.

    Guests are responsible for providing food for their pup, or Rancho Luna Lobos will add on a food service charge for each day of the reservation per dog.

  • We try to be as fair as we can in our cancellation policy.  Our season is short, and the dogs eat year round.  However, our policy is very strict as we turn away hundreds of people each year that don't plan ahead.  Last minute cancellations or no-call/no-shows take away spots from other guests that would have loved to have gone in your place.  By making your reservation online or providing your credit card at the time of booking over the phone, you hereby acknowledge and agree to the following:

    1 )  I understand that cancelling a tour or dropping the number of guests on the reservation must be done 8 days prior to the tour time.

    2)  I understand that due to the nature of the tours, the imperative need to stay on schedule, and for the safety of the dogs, if we show up late for our tour, we may not get to go on the tour and will not be entitled to a refund.  It is our responsibility to show up on time. 

     

        If the roads are open, we are running.  It is your responsibility to take holiday traffic and weather conditions into consideration to make sure you arrive on time for your tour.

    3)  I understand that if I get lost because I chose to did not pay attention to directions while driving to the ranch, I will not be entitled to a refund of any kind.  I acknowledge that I need to follow the simple directions provided on the website.

    4)  As general policy, NONE of the following excuses will entitle me to a refund inside of the cancellation period:

    1. Someone in your party is sick or injured.

    2. Too much traffic on the road caused you to be late.

    3. You get lost navigating to our location.

    4. You did not realize how far/long of a drive it was to get to us from your location.

    5. The taxi or car service forgot to pick you up, or was too late.

    6. You don't like the weather on the day of your ride.

    7. Your car was plowed in and you couldn't get out of your driveway.

    8. You drove your car off the road and got stuck.

    9. You are cold and do not have enough layers. Or you forgot your jackets, boots, or snow pants.

    5)  I understand that there NO exceptions to the cancellation policy, regardless of the reason.  While Rancho Luna Lobos MAY make exceptions on a case by case basis due to legitimate extreme circumstances, I acknowledge that no promises are made by Rancho Luna Lobos and that I am not entitled to a refund. 

     

         We want you to go on your tour and have a great experience with the dogs.  If you miss your tour, we will allow you to reschedule pending availability.  However, if you miss your scheduled tour on December 29th, (for example), there will likely be nothing to reschedule to until possibly the 2nd week of January.  The full amount paid can be used on a future tour.

    6)  I understand that reservations that are made when already within the cancellation policy period are non-refundable.

    **No refunds will be provided after payments have been processed, regardless of tour participation or expectations. No refunds will be given for no shows, flight delays, or any other complications. It is the guest’s responsibility to make reservations and any changes with these conditions in mind and while also recognizing the agreement to our 7 day cancellation policy.* By making a reservation with Rancho Luna Lobos, you understand that the DEPOSIT WILL BE NONREFUNDABLE regardless of cancellation by guest or by Rancho Luna Lobos. ALL SALES ARE FINAL, which is why you understand the company asks you NOT TO PAY THE FULL BALANCE until the day before or day of the tour. You also understand that if you cancel your tour before the cancellation policy period, you will not get your deposit back.

    **Please note that if you are signed up for a dog sled experience during our transition seasons (November-December, and Late February-March), there is a chance we may not have have enough snow or enough good snow to run a sled. With that in mind, IF we are able to do our dry land option (Dog Sled Safari), we will still get you out on a ride either way. It will be your responsibility to cancel before our 7 day cancellation window if you wish not to proceed with the safari. After that time, if we can get you out for a ride, we will charge for the tour we can offer. We will adjust our pricing to reflect our safari option. It will be your responsibility to check on trail conditions before the 7 day time period. We will only notify you of changes if we cannot get you out on any of our rides due to weather or trail conditions, as which time we will not charge if we need to cancel. We have a 7 day cancelation rule for all tours and activities. Our experiences are centered around a powerful presentation, and as such, we encourage all guests to participate even if they wish to cancel the ride. Remember, it will be your responsibility to cancel your tour before 7 days if you wish to cancel entirely. Keep in mind, if there is not a foot of snow or more in town (Not on the ski hills, meaning actual streets around town), there is most likely not enough snow on our trails. Our tours are how we ensure the very best care and facilities for our amazing pack, and with this in mind, we do take great considerations when structuring our cancelation policies. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We also thank you deeply for reserving a tour with our pack. We promise, if your heart and mind is open to the possibilities of “More Than Just A Ride”, you will be left with a lasting memory and deeply impactful experience with any of our tour options. Thank you!**

    Rancho Luna Lobos has a 7 day Cancellation Policy. . If guests cancel within the 7 day period prior to the tour or service, they will be charged for the whole amount. If guests want to cancel for a full refund, they MUST do so before the 7 day cancellation window. Otherwise, Rancho Luna Lobos will not charge until the day of the tour or service at check-in. After a charge has been made for a service or tour, a refund will not be allowed. If guests leave early from a tour, no refunds or changes to payment will be made. If a guest participates in the tour and they are asked to help on the sled, or get out of the basket to allow the sled to readjust, or if the sled must stop for any reason during the ride, there will be no refunds if the guest does not find that satisfactory. We are dealing with live animals, weather, cliffs, rocks, bushes, trail conditons, including ice, ruts, excessive snow, mud, slush, soft or punchy snow, etc. Our guides reserve the right to stop at any time and ask guests to exit the sled if there is a risk for unsafe condtions or if the sled is stuck and needs to adjust. Passenger weight can change sled navigation for every sled ride. Our guides may need to make weight adjustments to course correct during the tour, our guests are aware that by signing up for a tour, this will not be cause for a refund or discount. Our guides will do their very best to get guests through the trail smoothly, but if there are any of these complications, you are agreeing that you understand this is a possibility by signing up for a tour, and no refunds are allowed if these circumstances arise and it isn't what you hoped for. This sport can be very technical and our trail does require participation. Please understand that our guides are here to ensure the safety of our dogs, and our guests, and they will navigate the trail accordingly. The trail conditons can change daily and even hourly. If guests cancel within the 7 day mark of the tour, Rancho Luna Lobos will charge regardless of no-show reasons, including flight delays or cancellations, sickness, changes in trip plans, etc. If participants do not show up after they are confirmed, they will be charged the full price with no refund option. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Gift cards are nonrefundable, as Rancho Luna Lobos will honor those if guests need to be rescheduled to the following season due to weather conditions. All tours and services are dependent on weather and conditions can change quickly. With that, Rancho Luna Lobos will do everything they can to keep guests informed of any changes if a ride cannot be provided. Regardless of season, Rancho Luna Lobos can get you on a dry-land ride or winter ride as long as trail conditions and weather allow. With that, guests will be responsible to be aware of possible ride changes and to check-in if they wish to not participate on weather related rides. Rancho Luna Lobos will not notify which ride it will be. If weather events take place last minute and Rancho Luna Lobos needs to cancel, Rancho Luna Lobos will not charge if last minute changes have been made on their end due to weather events not allowing for tours. It is the guest’s responsibility to notify Rancho Luna Lobos before 7 days of the tour or service of any group capacity changes. If a group size decreases without notice, Rancho Luna Lobos will still be able to charge for original reservation.

    Please Note:

    - As detailed in the acknowledgment box when booking, the booking fee is NOT refundable.  This goes to the software company that built and maintains our online reservation program as well as covering the credit card transaction fees which are never refundable through Visa, Mastercard, etc, and is not ours to give back. 

  • Waiver of Liability

    Luna Lobos Dog Sledding LLC

    WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

    1. In consideration for receiving permission to participate in the activity on my reservation, I hereby RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Rancho Luna Lobos LLC, Rancho Luna Lobos or employees (hereinafter referred to as RELEASEES) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or to any property belonging to me, while participating in such activity, while in, on or upon the premises where the activities are being conducted, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH LOSS IS CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES, or otherwise and regardless of whether such liability arises in tort, contract, strict liability, or otherwise, to the fullest extent allowed by law

    2. I am fully aware of the risks and hazards connected with the activities of ,and I am aware that such activities include the risk of injury and even death, and I hereby elect to voluntarily participate in said activities, knowing that the activities may be hazardous to my property and me. I understand that Luna Lobos Dog Sledding, Rancho Luna Lobos, does not require me to participate in this activity. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage, or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or any loss or damage to property owned by me, as a result of being engaged in such an activities, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES or otherwise, to the fullest extent allowed by law

    3. I further hereby AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the RELEASEES from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including court costs and attorneys' fees that Releases may incur due to my participation in said activities, WHETHER CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES or otherwise, to the fullest extent allowed by law.

    4. It is my express intent that this Waiver and Hold Harmless Agreement shall bind the members of my family and spouse, if I am alive, and my heirs, assigns and personal representative, if I am deceased, and shall be deemed as a RELEASE, WAIVER, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE the above-named RELEASEES. I hereby further agree that this Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah and that any mediation, suit, or other proceeding must be filed or entered into only in Utah and the federal or state courts of Utah. Any portion of this document deemed unlawful or unenforceable is severable and shall be stricken without any effect on the enforceability of the remaining provisions.

    IN SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT OR BY SELCETING THE CHECK BOX TO ALLOW MY AGREEMENT TO THE TERMS ACT AS MY AND ALL PARTICIPANTS IN MY GROUP’S SIGNATURE, I ACKNOWLEDGE AND REPRESENT THAT I have read the foregoing Wavier of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement, understand it and sign it voluntarily as my own free act and deed; no oral representations, statements, or inducements, apart from the foregoing written agreement, have been made; I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and fully competent; and I execute this Agreement for full, adequate and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by same. I understand the date my booking was made will count as the date agreed to all terms and conditions/policies, and waivers.

    Rancho Luna Lobos LLC (RLL) will keep the premises sanitary and properly enclosed and exercise reasonable care for the safety of your dog. All dogs will be housed in safe, clean quarters. All dogs will be fed properly and regularly. RLL cannot be liable for damage or loss by or to dogs at this facility.

    Owner understands the concept of dog daycare, group play, and overnight boarding is to allow dogs to socially interact with both humans and dogs. Dogs in group play participate in supervised activities such as fetch, jumping, playing with toys; there is always a possibility of injury resulting from rough play between dogs. The owner agrees that any injury to their dog during their use of the facility shall not bring any liability of any type on the part of RLL.

    Owner agrees not to bring their pet into our facility if the dog is showing any signs of being sick, has fleas (owner will be charged for flea bath), or that its behavior may jeopardize the safety and health of other pets and/or our staff.

    Abandonment shall automatically relinquish all rights and claims by the owner to the animal. Abandonment is determined to be the refusal to provide or perform the legal obligations for care of the animal by its owner or agent.

    RLL is authorized by the owner to seek veterinary care, including emergency care, at the owner’s expense. If time permits, (RLL) will try and contact you before obtaining any care; however, this form serves as the authorization (RLL) needs to obtain veterinarian care for your dog regardless. The owner is responsible for veterinarian expenses and transportation, whether or not the owner was reached in advance.

    The owner agrees to pay all charges for daycare and boarding before picking up their pet. Your pet will not be released until all charges are paid in full. Boarding check out time is between 8:00am-10:00am and 5:00pm-7:00pm. Dogs picked up after 10am will be charged for additional day boarding services. All daycare dogs must be picked up by the end of the business day. If not picked up by closing time, the dog will be placed in our boarding facility and the owner will charged $40.00 for a night of boarding and will not be available to pick up until the next business day.

    The owner covenants not to initiate any legal proceedings of any sort against RLL as a result of illness, injury, damage or death to owner’s dog while staying at RLL in absence of gross negligence and agree that, should the owner bring a legal action against Rancho Luna Lobos LLC. The correct result of such a legal action should be a summary dismissal in favor of Rancho Luna Lobos LLC and the owner will also agree to pay Rancho Luna Lobos LLC costs, including, but not limited to attorney’s fees.

    The owner agrees that by signing the Care and Authorization form one time that it remains in full effect and force each and every time the owner brings the owner’s dog or dogs to RLL for any of our services. IN SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT OR BY SELCETING THE CHECK BOX TO ALLOW MY AGREEMENT TO THE TERMS ACT AS MY SIGNATURE agreeing to all waivers/policies/and terms and conditions.

    Please cancel bookings as soon as possible. Cancellations and No-Shows that take place less than 48 hours of the scheduled date will be charged a non-refundable daily rate. Cancelled and No-Show holiday bookings are also non-refundable and will be charged the entire scheduled cancelled or no-show visit. I HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND, AND AGREE TO ALL THE PROVISIONS OF THIS AUTHORIZATION. I fully intend to pick up my dog on the specified date. I will notify Rancho Luna Lobos of any changes to the pick up date and assume full responsibility for any additional charges.

    The owner hereby agrees to waive and release RLL and their employees from any right that you may have in law to recover medical payments, bodily injury damages, or property damages for any liability regardless of the cost, provided that the liability is due to ordinary negligence as a result of any injury resulting from the actions of my dog, any other dog, or any humans. I hereby agree to the pet care authorization form as the owner of the dog (s).I also certify that my dog(s) is/are in good health and do not show any signs of illness that may be contagious. Furthermore, I certify that all the information provided about my dog is accurate to the best of my knowledge. I have read, understand, and agree to all the provisions of this form. I understand the date my booking was made will count as the date agreed to all terms and conditions/policies, and waivers.
